Things That Cat Owners Do, That Cats Hate

What Are Things That Most Cat Owners Do That Cats Hate?

A dirty litter box. (My cat meows loudly after she's done her business, demanding that I go
clean her litter box right away, even if it's my bedtime!)
Loud noises. (Like blasting music.)
Change. (They hate an uncomfortable alteration of their routine and established
habits.)
Baths. (Some cat breeds like water, but most cats don't.)
Being left alone. My cat gets very upset when we go out for a lot of hours.
Other pets. Sometimes, cats get along with other pets but sometimes, there's a tense
truce between them. In other cases, there's open war. In our case, our dogs have been the
ones who attacked our cat, and we were told at the Vet's office, not to put them together.
Our cats are much larger than our little cat, and they could easily kill her. Sad but true.
Think about that if you're trying to introduce a small cat to aggressive dogs.
Pushy petting. If they want cuddles, they let you know, if they don't want it, they hate it.
Pet taxis or cat carriers. Our cat disappears when she sees the pet taxi. So we bring it out
days before she goes to the Vet, and leave it open so she will go in and out of it at leisure
before the dreaded trip comes. It's easier.
Tummy rubs. Cats are not dogs. Dogs love their bellies rubbed, some cats will scratch if
you for their belly, you might have an odd one who likes it, but many don't.
Forced interactions. No matter how precious your kitty is, she would hate to be picked up
by all your friends and taken around like a human baby would.

Have you been doing some of these things that your cat hates?
